Industry Specific ComplianceThe Government of Nagaland, on April 15, 2026, issued a notification regarding mandatory Aadhaar Authentication for Medical and Allied Healthcare Scholarship Beneficiaries.

The following has been stated:-

•The Nagaland Health & Family Welfare Department has mandated the use of Aadhaar for students applying for Medical, Health, and Allied Healthcare scholarships to enhance transparency and efficiency in benefit delivery. 

•Eligible beneficiaries must provide proof of Aadhaar or undergo authentication, while those without a number are required to enroll at designated centers. 

•To ensure no student is deprived during the enrollment process, temporary benefits may be granted upon production of an Aadhaar enrollment slip and an alternative valid identity document, such as a PAN card or Voter ID. 

•The notification also outlines remedial authentication mechanisms, including iris scans, face authentication, or OTPs, for cases where fingerprint recognition fails. 

•Effective from its publication date, this policy follows national Direct Benefit Transfer guidelines to ensure all bona fide beneficiaries receive their entitlements.
