Finance & Taxation ComplianceThe Ministry of Finance (MoF) on May 06, 2026, issued a notification regarding an amendment to the Customs notification for the Bhutan Land Frontier Check Post.

The following has been stated:-

•The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has amended Notification No. 63/1994-Customs (N.T.) under the Customs Act, 1962.

•A new entry has been added for the Bhutan land frontier at Samrang.

•The notification designates the Rangia–Tamulpur–Dimakuchi motorable road connecting Samrang in India and Bhutan as an approved customs route/checkpoint.

•This amendment facilitates cross-border movement and customs operations between India and Bhutan through the newly notified route.
