
The National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX), on May 7, 2026, issued Circular No. NCDEX/TECHNOLOGY-016/2026 announcing a Contingency Mock Trading Session scheduled for Saturday, May 9, 2026. The mock drill is being conducted in line with the Exchange’s contingency drill and mock trading schedule for 2026 to test operational readiness and business continuity systems.
The mock session will cover trading operations across various platforms including Trading, NEXTRA, Web NCFE, Web Extranet, and NOSS. Trading in agri commodities will take place from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, while Cotton, Kapas, Steel, and Sunoil contracts will continue till 2:00 PM, followed by a re-login session from 5:30 PM to 6:00 PM. NCDEX also informed members that production Web NCFE, Web Extranet, and NOSS Audit systems will remain unavailable from 2:00 AM to 9:00 PM on the mock day, with separate mock URLs provided for testing purposes.
The Exchange clarified that trades executed during the mock session will not result in any funds or commodities pay-in/pay-out obligations. Members using approved algorithmic trading software have been directed to mandatorily participate in the mock session in accordance with earlier regulatory requirements. NCDEX has also advised members to restore their systems to the production state after testing and verify connectivity by re-logging into the live environment before commencement of trading on May 11, 2026.
