The Factories and Boilers Inspection Department, Govt. of Rajasthan on May 06, 2026, issued the Rajasthan Boilers (Draft) Rules, 2026.
The following has been stated:
• The draft rules propose a comprehensive framework for registration, inspection, certification, transfer and safe operation of boilers in the State. The rules mandate online applications and fee payments for boiler registration, prescribe slab-wise registration fees based on boiler rating, and define the powers and duties of the Chief Inspector and other boiler inspection officers.
• Detailed provisions have also been introduced for internal and external boiler inspections, transfer of boilers within and outside the State, accident reporting and inquiry procedures, adjudication of violations, appeals, and maintenance of statutory registers and records.
• The draft rules further provide for penalties and adjudication proceedings for contraventions under the Boilers Act, 2025, and repeal the earlier Rajasthan Boiler Rules, 1954, while saving existing registrations and pending proceedings.
• The Government has invited objections and suggestions from stakeholders and the public by May 21, 2026.
