The Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board (RSPCB), on April 28, 2026, extended the validity of its earlier order permitting the temporary use of alternate fuels, including biomass and Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) pellets, due to supply constraints of approved fuels such as PNG and LPG. The extension has been granted for an additional period of one month up to May 12, 2026.
The extension has been issued in continuation of the Board’s earlier order dated March 14, 2026, and in accordance with the advisory issued by the Central Pollution Control Board and Direction No. A-110013/09/2020/CAQM-IP issued by the Commission for Air Quality Management on April 15, 2026. The measure aims to address fuel availability challenges while ensuring continuity of industrial operations.
Industries permitted under the earlier order may continue temporary usage of alternate fuels during the extended period, subject to compliance with applicable environmental norms and conditions specified by the regulatory authorities.
