EHS ComplianceThe Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board (RSPCB) on April 06, 2026, issued the notification regarding the extension of Timeline for Switching Rolling Mills to Cleaner Fuel up to June 30, 2026.

The following has been stated namely: -

• The State Board originally directed all rolling mills using coal in reheating furnaces to shift to cleaner fuels (LPG/PNG/CNG/LSHS etc.) by July 18, 2023, but later exempted mills with production capacity below 5,000 TPA.

• As per later orders, only rolling mills with capacity ≥5,000 TPA, using coal and located in areas where cleaner fuel is available, are required to switch to cleaner fuel and submit an action plan with a ₹1 lakh Bank Guarantee valid for at least 2 years.

• Due to global energy supply disruptions and representations from industries, the deadline for switching to cleaner fuel has now been extended up to June 30, 2026, while all other conditions of earlier orders remain unchanged.
