The Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organisation (PESO) on May 13, 2026, issued circular regarding the online module for approval of domestic manufacturers of Cryogenic Gas cylinders under Gas Cylinder Rules 2016.
The notification informs that updates have been made to the online FPS module to enable digital approval processes for domestic manufacturing of Cryogenic Gas cylinders under the Gas Cylinder Rules, 2016. This initiative aims to streamline and modernize the approval system by shifting it to an online, paperless format.
All domestic manufacturers are now required to submit applications online for obtaining approvals related to their manufacturing plants as well as cylinder design drawings through the updated module.
Additionally, manufacturers who already hold approvals must also apply online for revalidation of their existing approvals using the same system, ensuring uniformity and digitization across the sector.
To assist users, detailed operational guidelines for paperless online applications have been provided along with the notification to facilitate smooth adoption of the process.
