The Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (MahaRERA) on April 30, 2026, issued amendment in the Standard Operating Procedure for Updating Registered Projects and Revising/Correcting Information with respect to registered projects and Registered Real Estate Agents.
The MahaRERA circular amends the earlier provision regarding revision or correction of registration details with immediate effect. It mandates that any changes in digitally signed registration certificates or fields not available in project updates must be requested separately through the MahaRERA portal.
Both promoters and real estate agents are allowed to submit online requests for such corrections. This online facility, available from September 1, 2017, ensures a standardized and transparent process for modifying registration details.
The circular also prescribes applicable fees for different types of requests: ₹5,000 plus taxes for real estate agents, ₹10,000 plus taxes for project-related corrections, and ₹25,000 plus taxes (or the original registration fee, whichever is higher) for change of promoter.
Further, it clarifies that the editable fields and those requiring MahaRERA approval are specified separately in Annexure A (for projects) and Annexure B (for agents), providing clear guidance on the scope of permissible modifications.
