The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on May 17, 2026, issued notice for Post Result Declaration Facilities for Students of Class XII- Part-2.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has introduced On-Screen Marking (OSM) for Class XII answer books in the 2026 examinations to enhance transparency, accuracy, standardization, and efficiency in the evaluation process. This technology-driven approach aims to ensure consistency and faster processing of results.
While recognizing the benefits of OSM, CBSE has also taken note of concerns raised by students and stakeholders regarding evaluation and results. In response, the Board has introduced structured and student-friendly post-result mechanisms with clear procedures.
To improve accessibility, CBSE has significantly reduced the fees for post-result services. Students can obtain scanned copies of evaluated answer books from May 19 to May 22, 2026, at ₹100 (reduced from ₹700). Verification of issues can be requested from May 26 to May 29, 2026, at ₹100 (reduced from ₹500), and re-evaluation is available at ₹25 per question (reduced from ₹100 per question). Fees will be refunded if marks increase after re-evaluation.
CBSE has directed schools to disseminate this information widely and reaffirmed its commitment to a fair, transparent, and student-centric evaluation system.
