The Board of Practical Training (Eastern Region) (BoPTER) on May 22, 2026, issued a notice stating that all on-roll apprentices shall update their Apaar ID in the NATS portal and complete e-KYC verification mandatorily to receive an uninterrupted DBT stipend.
The following has been stated:
• It states that all on-roll apprentices have been directed to update their APAAR ID and complete mandatory e-KYC verification on the NATS 2.0 portal by May 31, 2026, to avoid disruption in the release of the Central Government share of stipend through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). Apprentices shall log in to the NATS 2.0 portal using their student credentials, complete Aadhaar-based OTP e-KYC verification, and either verify an existing APAAR ID or create a new one.
• The notice states that failure to complete the process by the deadline may result in non-receipt of the government stipend share for May 2026 and subsequent months. Apprentices may contact the concerned BOPT (ER) State Officer for clarification or assistance.
