The Government of Uttarakhand has revised the public holiday for Eid-ul-Zuha (Bakrid), shifting it from May 27, 2026 (Wednesday) to May 28, 2026 (Thursday), replacing the earlier notification dated December 24, 2025. This amendment applies to the list of public holidays under the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881.

In accordance with Section 25 of the Act, May 28, 2026 has also been declared a holiday for all banks, treasuries, and sub-treasuries across the state. All other provisions of the original notification remain unchanged.
