The Department of Transport, Mizoram, on May 07, 2026, issued a notification regarding the revision of rates of Tourist Vehicles.
The following has been stated:-
•State Transport Authority has fixed revised hiring charges for different categories of tourist vehicles based on vehicle price ranges, following the decision taken in its 1st Meeting of 2026.
•The revised structure includes minimum hiring charges ranging from ₹800 to ₹3,500, with per kilometre rates between ₹15 and ₹45 depending on vehicle value.
•Waiting or on-duty hourly charges have also been revised from ₹150 to ₹500, while no separate day/night halt charges will apply.
•The new rates have been approved by the Government and came into force with immediate effect until further orders.
