EHS ComplianceThe Central Pollution Control Board(CPCB) on May 06, 2026, issued Guidelines for Vigilance Complaint Handling Mechanism.

The following has been stated:-

•The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) follows the complaint handling guidelines issued by the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) for addressing vigilance-related matters involving CPCB officials. 

•The Vigilance Cell investigates complaints concerning corruption, misuse of authority, illegal gratification, negligence, procedural violations, and other vigilance issues. 

•Complaints must be specific, supported by verifiable facts, and submitted with the complainant’s identity and contact details, as anonymous or pseudonymous complaints are not entertained. 

•Whistle-blower complaints can be filed under the PIDPI Resolution through designated authorities, including the CVO of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC). 

•Complaints should be submitted confidentially to the Chairman, Member Secretary, or Chief Vigilance Officer of CPCB through sealed envelopes or designated email channels.
