The Government of Arunachal Pradesh, on June 2, 2026, issued an order revising the Maximum Retail Price (MRP) of alcoholic beverages for civilian marketing and sale within the State. The revision has been made pursuant to the ad-valorem excise duty structure notified by the Government on September 26, 2024, and the cost card methodology for MRP determination circulated on August 9, 2024.
The revised MRP has been approved after considering proposals submitted by liquor companies and manufacturers and has been issued in exercise of powers delegated under Rule 252(i) and (ii) of the Arunachal Pradesh Excise Rules, 1994. The revised prices are specified in Annexure-I and Annexure-II to the order.
Accordingly, all stakeholders involved in the marketing, distribution, and retail sale of alcoholic beverages in Arunachal Pradesh are required to comply with the revised MRP structure, which shall remain in force until further orders from the Excise Department.
