Secretarial ComplianceThe National Securities Depository Limited (NSDL) on June 08, 2026, issued circular regarding the Enhancements in the NSDL SPEED e Application for Password-based users.

The NSDL has introduced key enhancements in the SPEED-e application for password-based users to simplify the registration process and improve user convenience. The earlier mandatory requirement to provide at least one CM BP ID (Clearing Member BP ID) at the time of registration has been removed. This change allows users to complete registration without depending on obtaining CM BP ID beforehand.

However, for initiating market-related instructions, users will still be required to add a CM BP ID as a Pre-Notified Account (PNA). This ensures that while onboarding is simplified, necessary controls for market transactions remain intact. At the same time, users can freely perform non-market transactions such as off-market transfers, mutual fund redemption or conversion, and government securities transfers without registering a CM BP ID.

Additionally, the pool accounts of ICCL and NCL have been added to the default list of PNAs. This enables users to seamlessly transfer corporate bonds through the RFQ platform to the respective clearing corporations after successful registration on the SPEED-e platform.

Overall, these changes enhance operational efficiency by reducing dependency on CM BP ID during onboarding, while also expanding transaction capabilities and simplifying access to corporate bond transfers.
