The Meghalaya State Electricity Regulatory Commission (MSERC) on June 09, 2026, issued the Draft Meghalaya State Electricity Regulatory Commission (State Grid Code) Regulations, 2026.
The following has been stated:-
•The Meghalaya State Electricity Regulatory Commission (MSERC) has issued the draft Meghalaya State Grid Code Regulations, 2026, to align the state's grid framework with the latest 2023 Indian Electricity Grid Code notified by the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC).
•The proposed regulations will apply to the State Transmission Utility, State Load Dispatch Centre (SLDC), and all users connected to the state transmission network.
•Exercising its powers under the Electricity Act, 2003, MSERC has pre-published the draft regulations and invited public comments, suggestions, and objections.
•Stakeholders must submit their feedback in the prescribed format to the Commission by June 29, 2026, through post or email.
•Any submissions received after the deadline will not be considered by the Commission.
