The Government of Mizoram on May 18, 2026, issued the Draft Mizoram Code on Wages Rules, 2026.
The State Government has issued draft under the provisions of the Code on Social Security, 2020, for public information. This draft is being pre-published to invite feedback from all stakeholders likely to be affected. The final notification will be considered after a period of 45 days from the date the Official Gazette becomes available to the public.
During this consultation period, individuals and organizations are encouraged to submit their objections or suggestions to the Director-cum-Labour Commissioner of the Labour, Employment, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship Department. This ensures participatory decision-making before finalizing the rules.
Submissions must follow a prescribed format, including details such as the name and address of the respondent, the specific rule or sub-rule proposed for modification, and the suggested revision along with proper justification. This structured approach aims to facilitate clear and effective evaluation of feedback.
Only those objections and suggestions received within the stipulated 45-day period will be considered by the State Government for final decision-making on the proposed notification.
