The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), on June 23, 2026, issued a circular directing Technical Universities, State/UT Boards of Technical Education, Institutions Deemed to be Universities, Autonomous Institutions, and AICTE-approved Stand-alone Institutions to upload academic records and credit data pertaining to Examination Year 2025 on the National Academic Depository (NAD)/Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) Platform by June 30, 2026. The initiative supports the implementation of the Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) under the National Education Policy (NEP), 2020.
The circular states that all credit-awarding institutions must upload mark sheets/grade sheets, corresponding credit data, and student records linked with APAAR IDs on the NAD/ABC platform within the prescribed timeline. AICTE has clarified that June 30, 2026 will be treated as the final deadline for uploading fresh academic records relating to Examination Year 2025, after which the upload window for fresh submissions will be closed.
AICTE has further advised all concerned institutions to immediately review the status of pending uploads and accord top priority to completing the process within the stipulated timeline. After the deadline, only corrections or modifications to records already uploaded may be permitted in exceptional cases in accordance with the prescribed NAD/ABC procedures. The Council has also provided contact details for technical assistance to facilitate timely implementation of the ABC ecosystem and enable students to avail the benefits envisaged under the National Education Policy, 2020.
