Labour ComplianceThe Factories & Boilers Organisation, Govt. of Tripura on June 25, 2026, notified regarding the Self-Attested Documents for Factory and Boiler Approvals to Simplify Statutory Clearances.

The following has been stated:

• The Government has introduced a major ease of doing business reform by allowing the submission of self-attested/self-certified documents in place of affidavits or notarized documents for obtaining No Objection Certificates (NoCs) and statutory approvals under the Factories & Boilers Organisation, with immediate effect. The decision has been taken in line with the Business Reform Action Plan (BRAP) 2026 recommended by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) to simplify regulatory procedures and facilitate rapid industrialisation.

• The reform applies to a wide range of factory- and boiler-related services, including factory plan approvals, factory registration, grant, renewal and amendment of factory licences, factory closure and reopening approvals, online return submissions, registration of competent persons and third parties, boiler registration and certificate renewals, approval and renewal of boiler erectors and repairers, endorsement of IBR welders, approval of steam and boiler feed pipelines, and approval of boiler manufacturers.
