The Goods and Service Tax Network (GSTN) on July 01, 2026, issued advisory on Revision of Timeline for Amendment of Aggregate Annual Turnover (AATO), 2026.
The GSTN has announced an upgrade to the Aggregate Annual Turnover (AATO) functionality on the GST Portal, effective July 1, 2026. This enhancement will allow automatic updates of AATO as subsequent returns are filed after the amendment window, improving accuracy and consistency across GST records.
In line with this update, the timeline for amendment of AATO for FY 2025–26 has been revised. Earlier, as per the advisory dated May 02, 2022, taxpayers could amend AATO during the month of May. However, for FY 2025–26, the amendment window will now be open from July 1 to July 31, 2026, while jurisdictional tax officers will review the amended details between August 1 and August 15, 2026.
Taxpayers are advised to carefully verify their AATO details before submission to ensure correctness. In case of any issues, they may raise a grievance through the Self-Service Portal on the GST Portal for prompt resolution.
