The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), on July 1, 2026, issued a circular informing all field offices that the Ministry of Labour and Employment has approved the interest rate of 8.25% for credit to the Employees' Provident Fund (EPF) member accounts for the financial year 2025–26 under Paragraph 60(1) of the Employees' Provident Fund Scheme, 1952.
The circular directs all Additional Central Provident Fund Commissioners (Headquarters), Zonal Offices, and Regional Offices to issue necessary instructions for crediting interest at the rate of 8.25% to the EPF accounts of all eligible members in accordance with the provisions of Paragraph 60 of the EPF Scheme, 1952.
The approval has been conveyed by the Ministry of Labour and Employment vide its letter dated June 17, 2026, and is to be implemented by all concerned EPFO offices.
