The Goods and Services Tax Network (GSTN) on July 02, 2026, issued a notification regarding FAQs on Mandatory Capture of Ship-to Field and Voluntary Closure of E-Way Bill, 2026.
The following has been stated:-
•The Government has examined queries and representations from taxpayers, trade, GST Suvidha Providers (GSPs), and other stakeholders regarding mandatory Ship-to details and voluntary closure of E-Way Bills.
•To address these concerns, a comprehensive set of FAQs has been issued. The FAQs clarify system validations, procedural requirements, and compliance processes.
•Stakeholders are advised to review the FAQs to ensure proper compliance with the updated E-Way Bill requirements.
