The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) on July 02, 2026 has issued an amendment to earlier notifications published under the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, in accordance with Rule 15(1) of the BIS Rules, 2018.
As per the amendment, the implementation deadlines mentioned in previous notifications have been extended. For the notification dated March 25, 2025, the date in the schedule (Sl. No. 01 to 08, Column 5) has been revised from September 24, 2025, to March 24, 2027.
Similarly, for the notification dated September 30, 2025, the date in the schedule (Sl. No. 07, Column 5) has been extended to March 22, 2027, replacing the earlier deadline.
These changes effectively provide additional time for compliance with the specified standards.
