Commercial ComplianceThe India International Bullion Exchange (IIBX), on July 2, 2026, informed all regulated entities and market participants about the extension of the validity of Tariff Rate Quota (TRQ) Authorisations for the import of Gold (Tariff Head 7108) under the India–UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA). The extension is based on Public Notice No. 18/2026-27 dated July 1, 2026 issued by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

The circular clarifies that the validity of TRQ Authorisations issued during FY 2025-26 for import of gold under the India-UAE CEPA has been extended up to September 30, 2026. This extension provides eligible importers additional time to utilise their allotted tariff quota under the preferential trade arrangement.

The IIBX has advised all regulated entities and market participants to take note of the DGFT Public Notice. A copy of the corresponding circular issued by the International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA) has also been enclosed with the circular as Annexure A for reference.
