Industry Specific ComplianceThe Information & Communication Technology Department, Govt. of Mizoram on June 12, 2026, issued the Guidelines regarding the establishment of a telecommunication network on property other than public property -Procedure for Intimation and Acknowledgement on the Right of Way Portal.

The following has been stated:

• The Ministry of Communications has issued guidelines dated May 13, 2026, prescribing the procedure for intimation and acknowledgement on the Right of Way (RoW) Portal for establishing telecommunication networks on properties other than public property under Rule 15 of the Telecommunication (Right of Way) Rules, 2024. Facility providers shall submit an undertaking confirming the authenticity of all documents, including the structural safety certificate, and acknowledging that the submission of false or misleading information will be treated as a violation of their licence/authorisation and may result in legal action.

• An auto-generated acknowledgement on the RoW Portal will enable commencement of work. The designated public entity shall verify the structural safety certificate and the certifying engineer's authorisation within 15 days, with only one opportunity to seek clarifications, allowing 7 days for compliance.

• Failure to furnish the required clarification will render the intimation incomplete and invalid. If any submitted information is later found to be false or misleading, it will constitute a licence violation, invite action under applicable Central and State/UT laws, and the facility provider will bear any resulting financial loss.
