The Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organisation (PESO) on July 07, 2026, notified regarding the verification of the Test Certificate of the on-board CNG cylinder/cylinder fitted to a motor vehicle, validity through the PESO Public Domain Module.
It has advised all stakeholders to verify the validity of CNG cylinder test certificates before refilling on-board CNG cylinders installed in motor vehicles. As per Rule 35 of the Gas Cylinders Rules, 2016, cylinders with overdue periodic testing and examination shall not be filled with compressed gas. To facilitate compliance, PESO has enabled an online search facility on its public portal to verify CNG cylinder test certificates using the vehicle number.
