Commercial ComplianceThe Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) on July 02, 2026, notified the date of establishment and withdrawal of the Indian Standards related to Information Technology.

In the following Indian Standards particulars, the Dates of Establishment shall be June 23, 2026 -

• IS/ISO/IEC 8663 : 2025 Information Technology — Brain-Computer Interfaces — Vocabulary.

• IS 14990 (Part 5) : 2026 ISO/IEC 15408-5 : 2026 Information Security, Cybersecurity and Privacy Protection — Evaluation Criteria for IT Security Part 5 Pre-Defined Packages of Security Requirements (First Revision).

• IS 16500 : 2026 Devanagari Script and Hindi Spellings (First Revision).

• IS 19834 : 2026 Enterprise Architecture (EA) Security — Code of Practice.

In the following Indian Standards particulars, the Date of Withdrawal shall be December 23, 2026: -

• IS 14990 (Part 5) : 2024 ISO/IEC 15408-5 : 2022 Information Security, Cybersecurity and Privacy Protection — Evaluation Criteria for IT Security Part 5 Pre-Defined Packages of Security Requirements.

• IS 16500 : 2012 Devnagari Script and Hindi Spellings.

• IS/ISO/IEC 19896-1 : 2018 IT Security Techniques — Competence Requirements for Information Security Testers and Evaluators Part 1 Introduction, Concepts and General Requirements.

• IS/ISO/IEC 19896-3 : 2018 IT Security Techniques — Competence Requirements for Information Security Testers and Evaluators Part 3 knowledge, Skills and Effectiveness Requirements for ISO/IEC 15408 Evaluators.
