EHS ComplianceThe Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board (RSPCB) on June 24, 2026, issued a notification regarding mandating the Riverbank Clearance Certification for Hazardous Industries.

The following has been stated:-

•The Rajasthan Pollution Control Board (RSPCB), in compliance with the Hon'ble Supreme Court's order dated March 18, 2026 in Suo Motu Writ Petition (Civil) No. 8 of 2025 concerning contamination of the Jojari River, has prohibited the grant of fresh Consent to Establish (CTE) or Consent to Operate (CTO) for hazardous or obnoxious industries along riverbanks in Pali, Balotra, and Jodhpur unless prescribed norms are met. 

•Industries must obtain certification from the district-level Water Resources Department confirming compliance with the minimum distance from the high flood line and mandatory river buffer zones in the prescribed format. 

•Regional Officers have been directed to ensure strict implementation of these directions.
