DoT directs Internet Service Providers to block 75 websites pursuant to Delhi High Court order

Industry Specific ComplianceThe Department of Telecommunications (DoT), on July 7, 2026, directed all Licensees holding Internet Service Authorisation to block access to 75 websites/domains in compliance with the Delhi High Court's order dated December 8, 2025 in CS(COMM) No. 1306 of 2025, Dazn Limited & Anr. v. abbonamentoiptvitalia.com & Ors.

The communication refers to paragraphs 36(vii) and 37 of the Court's order and the 22nd and 23rd additional lists submitted by the plaintiff's counsel, which identify the websites and domains required to be blocked. The blocking directions are intended to enforce the Court's order against websites allegedly involved in unauthorised online activities.

Accordingly, all Internet Service Providers (ISPs) have been instructed to take immediate necessary action to block access to the specified 75 websites/domains in accordance with the Delhi High Court's directions and the enclosed list provided by the Department.
