Industry Specific ComplianceThe Department of Mines, Govt. of Goa on July 09, 2026, issued the Goa Minor Mineral Concession (Amendment) Rules, 2026, further to amend the Goa Minor Mineral Concession Rules, 1985.

They shall come into force on July 16, 2026.

The following has been amended, namely:

• Under Rule 47(2), a transportation fee of ₹65 per metric tonne has been introduced for the transportation of minor minerals through waterways, including by sea. Further, Rule 47(5) provides that dispatch of minor minerals from Goa to any other State or Union Territory will require payment of an additional processing fee as notified by the Government. 

• A new Rule 47A has also been inserted to regulate the import of minor minerals from outside Goa for export purposes. It mandates prior permission from the Competent Officer, payment of a processing fee of ₹65 per metric tonne, adherence to a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), and issuance of permits only after compliance with the prescribed procedures.
