The Industries & Commerce Department, Govt. of Haryana on July 14, 2026, issued the “Scheme for Centre of Excellence for Skill Development”.
The following has been stated:
• The scheme provides financial assistance of 50% of the project cost, up to ₹5 crore, for setting up three Centres of Excellence by Government organisations, PSUs, or private companies. The grant will be equally divided between infrastructure creation and operational expenses, with operational support released in annual instalments over five years.
• Eligible expenditure includes capital equipment, land and building costs, technical manpower, maintenance, technology upgrades, lease costs, and training activities. Applications will be evaluated annually by a State Level Committee (SLC), with incentives available only for eligible expenditure incurred after acknowledgement of the application.
• The scheme remains effective from October 21, 2024, for the duration of the policy period and includes provisions relating to eligibility, approval process, monitoring, appeals, and penalties for misrepresentation or misuse of incentives.
