The National Dental Commission (NDC) is developing a GIS-based national database to map dental colleges and their associated teaching hospitals across India. This initiative aims to support better planning, equitable distribution of oral healthcare services, accessibility analysis, workforce planning, and integration with national digital health systems.
All dental colleges are required to submit accurate GIS coordinates (latitude and longitude) of their institutions, including teaching hospitals and satellite centers. The coordinates should reflect the main entrance or central administrative building and be recorded in decimal format. Institutions can obtain these details using Google Maps and must submit the information through the provided online link.
