The Government of Karnataka on July 28, 2026, notified the Karnataka Excise (Possession, Transport, Import and Export of Intoxicants) (Amendment) Rules, 2026, further to amend the Karnataka Excise (Possession, Transport, Import and Export of Intoxicants) Rules, 1967.
The following has been stated: -
•The Karnataka Excise (Possession, Transport, Import and Export of Intoxicants) Rules, 1967 have been amended to include Form 2-C issued under the Karnataka Excise (Distillery and Warehouse) Rules, 1967.
•This expands the list of authorized permits recognized under Rule 6(1) for the possession, transport, import, and export of intoxicants.
They shall come into force from July 28, 2026.
