Industry Specific ComplianceThe National Housing Bank (NHB), on August 1, 2026, announced that its Prime Lending Rate (PLR) has been revised to 7.65%, effective August 1, 2026. The revised PLR will serve as the benchmark lending rate for applicable NHB lending operations.

The revised PLR replaces the previous benchmark rate and will apply from the effective date to loans, advances, and other financial products linked to the NHB's Prime Lending Rate, in accordance with the applicable terms and conditions. Financial institutions and stakeholders may use the revised PLR for determining interest rates wherever the NHB PLR serves as the reference benchmark.

The revision reflects NHB's periodic review of its benchmark lending rate and is intended to ensure that its lending framework remains aligned with prevailing market and monetary conditions. The updated PLR is effective immediately from August 1, 2026.
