Industry Specific ComplianceThe National Dental Commission (NDC), through the Ethics and Dental Registration Board (EDRB), on July 31, 2026, issued a Public Notice informing the general public, patients, and stakeholders about the prescribed procedure for submitting complaints against dental practitioners or institutions. The notice introduces specific guidelines and a mandatory standard complaint format to streamline the complaint-handling process.

The Public Notice states that all complaints submitted to the Ethics and Dental Registration Board (EDRB) must strictly comply with the prescribed instructions and be filed using the notified standard format. The standardized mechanism is intended to facilitate the proper examination and processing of complaints relating to professional conduct and ethical issues involving dental practitioners and institutions.

The NDC has advised all complainants to adhere to the notified guidelines and complaint format to enable the EDRB to take timely, transparent, and effective action on complaints. The initiative aims to promote uniformity in complaint submissions and improve the efficiency of grievance redressal under the National Dental Commission framework.
