This notification refers to MeitY's Notification S.O. 4182(E), which extends the implementation timeline for a specific product category under the Electronics and Information Technology Goods (Requirements for Compulsory Registration) Order, 2021. Specifically, for "Television Sets" (Sl. No. 64 of the Schedule), the compliance requirement with standard IS 18112:2022 — originally set to take effect from 26.07.2026 as per Notification S.O. 1929(E) dated 26.04.2023 — has now been extended to 26.01.2027.
Accordingly, the implementation date for this Order stands revised to 26th January, 2027. Jurisdictional officers are requested to take necessary action to sensitize relevant officers under their jurisdiction about this extension.
