Labour ComplianceThe Government of Goa on August 11, 2026, issued the notification regarding the Holiday on August 16 due to Bye Election.

The following has been stated namely: -

• August 16, 2026 (Polling Day) is declared a paid holiday in Goa. 

• The holiday applies to workers of all commercial, industrial and other establishments, including daily-wage/casual workers. 

• The paid holiday applies to workers who are voters in the Bye Election for Ward No. I of Village Panchayat Chinchinim Deussua, taluka Salcete, South Goa District.
