The Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) on August 08, 2026, intimates monthly drug testing samples for July 2026.
The following has been stated:
• It has intimated the sampling of various drugs for quality testing from ESIC Hospital, C.B. Ganj, Bareilly, with samples collected on August 07, 2026. The sampled medicines include Nitrofurantoin, Methotrexate, Tacrolimus, Silodosin, Linezolid, Remogliflozin, Drotaverine, Dydrogesterone, Etizolam, Alprazolam, Hydrochlorothiazide, Sulphasalazine, Tofacitinib, Moxifloxacin/Prednisolone eye drops, Clotrimazole/Lignocaine ear drops, Olopatadine eye drops, Dapagliflozin, Metoprolol Succinate and Apixaban, among others.
• The samples were drawn from drugs supplied under RC (Rate Contract) arrangements and include products manufactured by companies such as Rivpra Formulation Pvt. Ltd., Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Mankind Pharma Ltd., Unicure India Ltd., Themis Medicare Ltd., Ipca Laboratories Ltd., MSN Laboratories Pvt. Ltd., Primus Pharmaceuticals, Bajaj Healthcare Ltd. and Pulse Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd. The samples have been forwarded to designated testing laboratories, including Satiate Lab and Shree Balaji, for quality analysis.
• The communication indicates that the test reports are awaited for the sampled medicines. The testing exercise forms part of ESIC’s regular drug quality-control and surveillance mechanism, intended to verify the quality and compliance of medicines supplied for use in ESIC medical institutions. The communication also records details such as drug name, batch number, manufacturer, manufacturing/expiry dates, rate-contract number, sampling date and testing laboratory for traceability and monitoring.
