The Government of Maharashtra on July 17, 2026, issued the Maharashtra Government Rules of Business (Third Amendment) Rules, 2026 to further amend the Maharashtra Government Rules of Business.
The following amendments have been stated:
• In the FIRST SCHEDULE appended to the Maharashtra Government Rules of Business,
(a) under the heading "DEPARTMENTS OF GOVERNMENT", for entry 34 the following entry shall be substituted, namely:-
"34. Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities";
(b) for the heading "34. Subjects allotted to the Department of Persons with Disabilities Welfare Department", the following heading shall be substituted, namely:-
"34. Subjects allotted to the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities.
