The State Government of Chhattisgarh on August 08, 2019, has issued the Chhattisgarh Shops and Establishment (Amendment) Rules, 2019 to make amendments in the Chhattisgarh Shops and Establishments Rules, 1959.
The amendments made are:
• Rule 4 which specifies about the period of validity of registration certificate, has been substituted, namely, the registration certificate shall remain valid till the date of closure notified by the employer.
• Rule 5 which specifies about the ‘Renewal of registration certificate’, has been substituted with ‘Fees for registration certificate’ namely the registration certificate shall be issued on payment of fee as specified in the table for that class of establishment:

Whereas, it has also specified that the employers who have obtained registration before June 25, 2014 shall compulsorily obtain registration after the amendment of these Rules.
