class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">The Haryana Excise and taxation Department on April 01, 2020, publishes the Punjab Distillery (Haryana Amendment) Rules, 2020, to further amend the Punjab Distillery Rules, 1932.
Ø Under Rule 3 which specifies the procedure to be followed by the applicant and documents to be accompanied by Form D for obtaining license, clause (e) has been substituted, namely:
No new letter of intent shall be granted to the proposed Distillery till actual utilization of Extra Neutral Alcohol reaches 90% of the installed production capacity of the existing distilleries in the State. Further, no letter of intent will be revalidated in the year 2020-21 for a proposed Distillery, if the applicant fails to set up the plant within the prescribed time under the provisions of his letter of intent.
Ø Under clause 4(a) which specifies the fee for obtaining license, Clause 7(1) which specifies the renewal license fee and in Form D-2 which is related to license in condition no. 10, the fee has been enhanced by ₹1.25 crore plus ₹ 1,30,000 instead of ₹1.10 crore plus ₹ 1,30,00.
