class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">The Kerala State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) on June 26, 2020 issues circular regarding issue of consent to establish M-sand units using Cone Crusher. The Cone rusher used for the production of crusher sand may be considered similar to VSI machine used for making M-Sand. Hence, if the Cone crusher is proposed for producing M-sand only, then the distance criteria for M-Sand units as per Circular No PCB/TAC/BM-168/671/2009 for such cone crusher units also.
The Cone crusher used for producing both M-sand and crushed metal and that which produces crushed metal only shall be considered as a crusher unit. Hence, the distance criteria & pollution control measures for a crusher unit shall be applicable for these types of units as per Circular no- PCB/TAC/St.Cr.Com/65/2005. Installation of units without Consent to establish should not be entertained.
