Tripura Labour Department exempts establishments from the provisions of section 9A of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947

Labour Complianceclass="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">The Tripura Labour Department on July 03, 2020, exempts the establishments from the provisions of the section 9A of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947, which specifies the notice change in the conditions of service applicable to any workman, due to COVID-19 pandemic.

Therefore, Tripura Labour Department directs that, the provisions of the section 9A, so far it relates to the matter specified under item no. 11 of the fourth schedule, shall not apply to any industrial establishment or to an workmen employed in any industrial establishment, where less that 300 workers are employed.

This Notification will remain in force till further order.
